The Piano Butterfly Method™
At the heart of Starlight Studio is a gentle, developmental approach to learning piano. Many beginners are rushed into playing without the time to build essential foundations. Over time, this can lead to tension, uneven technique, and frustration. Enthusiasm drains away. Here, we take a different approach.
Students are guided through a thoughtful, step-by-step process that supports confident fine motor skills and the organic growth of correct technique. By allowing time for these skills to develop properly, each student builds a strong and lasting relationship with the instrument. Rather than forcing progress too quickly, each stage is given the space it needs.

First Lesson: Free Trial
The first lesson is offered as a free trial session. This allows me time to understand the student's needs, learning style, and interests — and allows both parties to assess if the relationship is the right fit. Following the session, a detailed lesson report is provided, along with recommendations for the most appropriate lesson format moving forward.
Home Visits
All lessons are delivered in the comfort of your own home by a deeply caring, experienced teacher and native English speaker. Basic books and stationery are included to support organisation and preparation from the very first lesson.
